There’s no question that experiencing pregnancy is a beautiful thing! Feeling beautiful — let alone like yourself — during 40 weeks of joy, hormones gone wild and a changing body can be a bit of a tricky proposition though… For me, holding onto my personal style is what has served to uplift me throughout my pregnancy, despite the fact that I couldn’t wear most of my clothes.

Admittedly, the only maternity clothing I bought during my pregnancy was a pair of maternity jeans. The reason being that I didn’t want to waste my hard-earned money on maternity wear only to throw/give it away later. Instead, I stuck with sleek body-con dresses and stretchy fabrics. Mid-length jersey or ribbed dresses are super flattering and oh-so comfortably hug the bump — plus a bonus, you can still wear them postpartum.

Here, with my then-mini-bump, I wore a stretchy wool midi dress from Aritzia that I’m still able to wear now, at 40 weeks pregnant (similar here and here), a leather Zara jacket (similar by Blank), shoes by Valentino and a Hermès neck scarf. Gold bracelet by McQueen, and sunglasses by Versase.
